Export Job/Operations writes job and operation information out to a text file.  Jobs that are currently listed in the Manufacturing Orders grid are the jobs that will be selected for the export.  The format of the exported text file is the same as the import file and is defined in Import/Export Job File Format.  (You can also export the information currently in the Manufacturing Orders grid using Export Grid Contents.)

The export is executed from the Manufacturing Orders screen.  To access export jobs/operations, select Export | Jobs/Operations as in the example below:

You will be presented with the following screen:

Note that the current file format is displayed in bold under the Export tab.  If you want to change the file format, select File | Export format and then click on the read format you want to use as in the example below:

Once you have verified the file format that you are using, perform the following steps to import jobs:

1. Export filename Enter the export filename.  You can click on the open folder icon at the end of the prompt to browse where you want to write the file to.
2. Click OK to start the import process.  DMS will response with the following confirmation window:

3. Click OK to start the export or click Cancel to cancel the export.  If you click OK, DMS will start the export and display the status on the screen.

By using the File | View File command you can view a file from Export Jobs/Operations.
