To run a schedule with material constraints, the schedule options for material constraints needs to be set on the Options tab of the Scheduler. The following options are available:
The above three settings are applied in the order listed above. That is, if all three are selected, the scheduler first looks to see if the material available flag is checked. If it is checked, no further action is taken. If it is not checked, the scheduler then looks at the received date. If the received date has a date, the date is compared to the start date of the job/operation to see if the job/operation needs to be delayed. If the received date is blank, the scheduler then looks at the expected delivery date. If the expected delivery date has a date, the date is compared to the start date of the job/operation to see if the job/operation needs to be delayed.
The example below shows the Scheduler with the Options tab displayed. In this example the material constraints will be applied as default for each schedule run. The Material Level will be used and the material available flag, material date received, and the material expected date of the material level are used as the constraint.
