Wait Time
Previous Topic  Next Topic

Wait time is an optional entry of time that can be added to an operations time.  If Move time is also entered, the wait time is applied before the Move time.  If an operations sequence type is a Lot command where parts are passed in lots, the wait time is applied at the end of the first lot.

Wait times do not use up any resource capacity.  Wait times are based on a Wait resource profile defined by the user so that Wait times can be defined any way you want.  Multiple resource profiles can be setup for the Wait.

Calendar capacity changes are NOT applied to Wait times.

The term "Wait Time" can be changed in Terms and Settings so that headings display the user defined term.  The default resource name is "DMS Wait" that can be changed to any valid resource name you wish to use.  Only one resource may be identified as a Wait resource type.

Wait times in an And command block of operations should be entered on the prime operation (the first operation) only.  Any wait time or move time entered to the And operations are automatically set to 0 by the scheduler.
