Job Status Transaction Display Searching and Filtering
Previous Topic  Next Topic

Searching and filtering enables you to look for certain job transactions.  When you first enter into Job Status Transactions Display data is not displayed in the gird.  The reasons for this is to increase the speed of response (the more job transactions the longer the display process).

If you select a large number of jobs, it may take several seconds for DMS to fetch the jobs and display the data.  For example, searching and displaying 100,000 jobs may take 20 to 30 seconds.  You may prefer to limit large sections of data by specifying a date range or other search criteria that would reduce the data retrieval size.

After entering search criteria, a search does not take place until you click on the Search button.  Once you have clicked on the Search button, the search takes place and the resulting data is displayed in the job grid.  If you do not enter any selection criteria and click on the Search button, then all job status transactions are displayed.

To enter search criteria click on one of the following buttons:

  1. To search on job header information such as part numbers, job identifications, jobs states, etc., click on the Job Selections button.
  2. To search on the date work was performed  or transaction dates, click on Date Selections.
  3. To search on Resources, click on Resource Selections.
  4. To search for employees who performed the work or the user who performed the transaction, click on Employee Selections.

You can save your current search criteria by clicking on the Save Search button.

You can load previously saved searches by clicking on the Load Search button.

To clear your current search criteria, click on the Clear Selections button.  DMS will confirm the clearing of selections by displaying the following confirmation window:

Click OK to clear the search selections or click Cancel to cancel the clear.  Note that the current job information in the gird does not change after you have cleared the search criteria until you click on the Search button to perform a new search.
