The Operation Ident. must be unique in each router and is a alpha numeric value representing the operation name or label, often input in multiples such as 10, 20, 30 etc. allowing for space to insert rework between operation steps.  An Operation Ident. must be entered for each operation unless the operation is a command; certain operation commands allow for a blank Operation Ident.

On the Material Details tab, the operation ident. is used to identify what operation requires the material.  If the operation ident. is blank, DMS assumes the material is required at the start of the job.
