The scrap factor is a percentage value used at the job level that will be applied to the job order quantity to calculate the quantity to build.  The scrap factor is entered on a job by job basis; each job can have its own scrap factor. 

For example, if a job has a scrap factor of 5% and 100 parts are ordered, DMS will calculate the quantity to build as 100 x %5 = 105 parts to build.
