Export Jobs/Operations

 

Export Job/Operations writes job and operation information out to a text file.  Jobs that are currently listed in the Manufacturing Orders grid are the jobs that will be selected for the export.  The format of the exported text file is the same as the import file and is defined in Import/Export Job File Format.  (You can also export the information currently in the Manufacturing Orders grid using Export Grid Contents.) 

 

The export is executed from the Manufacturing Orders screen.  To access Export Jobs/Operations, select Grid Tools | Jobs/Operations Export.  The following window appears:

 

 

Note that the current file format is displayed in bold under the Export tab.  If you want to change the file format, select File | Export format and then click on the read format you want to use.  It is recommended you always use the DMS file format. 

 

The following tabs and commands are available from the Manufacturing Order screen:

File

1.Export  Select File | Export to Text to enter the export information to the prompts.

2.View File  Select File | View File to view a file.  The following window appears, enabling you to select the file you want to view:

 
 

3.File name  Enter the name of the file you want to View.  You can click on the open folder icon at the end of the prompt to browse where you want to write the file to.

4.Click Open to start the export.  DMS will response with a confirmation.  Click OK to start the export or click Cancel to cancel the export.
 

By using the File | View File command you can view a file from Export Jobs/Operations.
