Fix Missing Final/Component Assembly Jobs

 

Fix Missing Final Assembly Jobs corrects a problem with previous versions of DMS where the user could enter an assembly final order number or a component of another assembly to feed into the current assembly.  In previous versions, feeding between assemblies should have only been allowed using BOM links.  However, the user could override this limitation by manually entering an assembly final order number or a component of another assembly.  This caused the internal assembly flag for some assemblies to be reset.  This tool ensures that all assemblies have the correct internal flags set. 

 

In Mfg Orders Job Grid, select Grid Tools | Assembly Jobs | Fix Missing Final Assembly Jobs.  The following window is displayed:

 

 

There are two options;  Fix Missing Final Assembly and Scan & Fix Jobs in Assemblies.  It is recommended that you select the Fix Missing Final Assembly first and then select Scan & Fix Jobs in Assemblies as a second step.

 

Click OK to scan and fix any problem assemblies.  Click Cancel to abort the fix assemblies.

 

If any corrections are made to one or more assemblies, the assembly structures corrected are listed in the Display Fix Log.
