Import Email Settings

 

 

When information is imported into DMS using a SQL script or a text file, DMS can optionally send an email to let you know the status of the import.  Emails can be sent for the following imports:

1.Job Import via SQL

2.Job Updates via SQL

3.Update Job States via SQL

4.Resource Import via SQL

5.Inventory Import via SQL

6.Employee Import via SQL

7.Job Import via Text

8.Job Updates via Text

9.Inventory Import via Text

10.Employee Import via Text

 

To set up an email for import select Interface | Import Settings | Import Email Settings.  The following window will appear:

 

 

To set up an import email:

1.Import Action  Select the import action that you want to set up the email for.

2.Send import email  Select the checkbox to send an email for the selected import action.  Uncheck this box to stop sending import emails for the selected action.

3.Attach import report  Select the checkbox to attach the import status report to the email.  Uncheck this box to not attach the import status report.

4.Send only if auto execute  Select this checkbox if you want the email to be sent only if the import was executed by an Auto Execute command.  Uncheck this checkbox if you want an email to be sent regardless of how the import was executed.

5.Send email from  Select the email address you want to send the email from. 

6.Send to  Click on the  button or double click in the Send to list to select who you want to send the report to.  The Send To Email window appears:

7.Subject  Enter the email subject for the schedule report.

8.You can add information to the body of the email as required.

 

Click Save to save the email report settings.  Click Cancel to cancel all the changes.
