Finite Schedule
Previous Topic  Next Topic

A finite schedule is a schedule that takes into consideration all capacities on a shop floor.  These capacities include Resource capacity, number of hours any one operation may use on a shift, shift capacity, number of hours in a day, number of shifts per day, and the demands on a Resource. This type of schedule is used for guiding manufacturing operations.

Using the schedule method you can specify that a job is to be loaded finitely (the default) or infinitely.  At the operation level, you can change from finite schedule to infinite schedule or vice versa by specify Finite or Infinite in the Command column of the Operations tab
