The Item No is a unique identifier used to define an inventory item. Before an Item No can be used in DMS, it must either:

1. Be defined in DMS Inventory, or
2. In Material Options select the "Do NOT use DMS Inventory table; use free format" in which case the Item No is a free format entry.

The item no can be up to 45 alphanumeric characters long.
