The operation quantity multiplier is an optional entry for an operation.  The multiplier will increase or reduce the quantity for an operation to the value stated.  For example, if an operation can produce 4 units per cycle, DMS would only need to schedule time for 1 cycle per 4 units, ¼ or 25% of the total number of units x the operation time per unit.  This would be entered as .25.  The quantity multiplier selected in Operation Grid Selections

Note that the operation quantity multiplier does not affect the material required per piece for the operation.  When calculating the material required per piece, the amount of material is calculated by the material required per piece x the job quantity required.
