Schedule History

The History tab is used to display the schedule run history as well as the log for each schedule run.  Each time the schedule is run, information on the schedule is record in the schedule history.  The history is displayed in a gird on the History tab sorted by the most recent schedule run to the oldest schedule run.  Periodically you may want to delete the schedule history information for older schedule runs to reduce the amount of information that is displayed in the gird.


The example below shows the History tab of the Scheduler.  The grid shows each schedule run and the lower window shows the log for the selected schedule run:



To view a schedule run log, click on the schedule run in the gird to display that schedule run's log. 


When the history grid is displayed, you can:


  1. Sort by any column by clicking on that column's heading.  You can toggle between ascending and descending order by clicking on the column heading a second time. The indicator appears in column heading informing you that the grid is sorted in descending order by that column.  If a column is sorted in ascending order, the indicator appears as .
  2. Select a range of schedule execution dates to display.  Enter the date range for a the subset of history.  Press the Search Grid button to search for the requested history.  To search from the earliest to the latest date, use the keyboard Delete key to delete the Search execution start date and the Search execution end date and then press the Search Grid button.
  3. Print Report  Select Print Report to print the selected schedule log.
  4. PDF Report Select PDF Report to send the selected schedule log to a PDF file.  If PDF Report is selected, DMS prompts for the filename.  The \DMS\Export folder is the default folder for the PDF.
  5. Find in Log Click on the Find in Log icon to search the selected schedule log.  The following window appears:



    Enter the text to search for in the log and press the Find Next button.
  6. Delete Schedule History Select this button to delete the schedule history.  When the button is selected, DMS confirms the delete.  If a date range was selected, the confirmation for the delete shows the date range as in the example below:

  7. If a date range was not selected, the command will delete all schedule run history as in the example below:
