Manufacturing Jobs Options can be accessed through the DMS Monthly Calendar Menu Options tab or Manufacturing Order Job Details using Options | Manufacturing Jobs Options.
Manufacturing Jobs Options enables you to set up how you want DMS to handle copying template jobs to other jobs and what to set the job state to if an operation is put on hold:
1.On template copy blank Job Identification If this option is selected, when you copy a template job the job identification will be set to blank.
2.On template copy blank Part Number If this option is selected, when you copy a template job the part number will be set to blank.
3.On template copy blank Planner If this option is selected, when you copy a template job the planner will be set to blank.
4.On template copy enter Job Identification If this option is selected, when you copy a template job you will be prompted to enter a job identification. If you do not select this option, you cannot enter a job identification during the copy.
5.On template copy enter Part Number If this option is selected, when you copy a template job you will be prompted to enter a part number. If you do not select this option, you cannot enter a part number during the copy.
6.On template copy enter Planner If this option is selected, when you copy a template job you will be prompted to enter a planner. If you do not select this option, you cannot enter a planner during the copy.
7.On Operation Hold set job state to This option informs DMS what Job State to set the job to if an operation is placed on Hold. For example, you may want to set up a Job State of "Operation On Hold" that a job is set to if an operation is put on hold.
8.Set Components to Final Order Due Date In an assembly, all the components’ dues dates of the assembly can optionally be set to the Final Order Due Date when Save is selected. If the Set Components to Final Order Number Due Date is selected, the Set Due Dates to Final button in Manufacturing Order Job Details will default to On, otherwise it defaults to Off. The Set Due Dates to Final button can be turned on or off regardless of the option setting.

To make changes, select the option you want and press the Save button. To abort changes, press Cancel.
Note that if you have selected that the job identification, part number, or planner fields are required input in Terms and Settings, these fields will require input during a copy command. Care should be taken to make sure these options match what is required for input in these fields.
