Capacity Graph Set Bar Options
Previous Topic  Next Topic

The Capacity Graph has several options for displaying bars, bar style (the shape of a bar), and bar color.  Set Bar Options is also used to show or hide a bar and whether or not to add the efficiency factor into the head count calculation.  (In most cases, you do not want to add the efficiency factor into the head count calculations so that the graph can tell you the correct head count.)

The Set Bar Options is accessed through the Capacity Graph using View | Set Bar Options and globally sets all the bar options colors, styles, etc. for all capacity graphs displayed in other screens.  This method keeps the bar styles and colors the same for the capacity graphs in the Job Analysis Graph and Resource Gantt Chart.

The example screen below shows the Capacity Graph Set Bar Options with the default options:

For each bar listed in the example screen above, you can choose:

  1. The bar styles of either a Rectangle (default), Pyramid, Inverse Pyramid, Cylinder, Ellipse, Arrow, Rectangle Gradient, Cone, Bevel, Slant Cube, Diamond, Inverse Arrow, Inverse Cone, or Round Rectangle.
  2. The bar color.
  3. Whether or not to show the bar on the capacity graph.
  4. Whether or not to apply the efficiency factor to the Load and Capacity head count, or to the Compare Type of Work Head Count.
  5. The last prompt enables you to select the Compare Type of Work ribbon color and whether or not to show the Compare Type of Work ribbon when a compare type of work is entered by the user.  Note that the Compare Type of Work ribbon and Compare Type of Work Head Count are only displayed if a “Compare Type of Work” has been entered by the user.
  6. Press the Reset button to reset the bar styles and colors to the default.
