The Delete Assembly Structures by Job State enables you to delete all assembly structures by one or more job states.  The command is executed from the main menu using Database | Delete Assembly Structures by Job State.  To execute this command the user’s group must have access to “Clear Selected Tables” in the User Groups settings.

This command can be used to delete assembly structure by job state from DMS so that new assembly structures can be imported via a SQL script or a text file.  Note that once an assembly structure is deleted, it cannot be recovered.  Also not that jobs that make up an assembly structure are NOT deleted; just the assembly structure (i.e. the relationship between jobs) is deleted.

The example below shows the Delete Assembly Structures by Job State screen:

To execute the command:

1. Select File | Delete Assembly Structures by Job State or click on the delete icon.

2. Select Job States for the Jobs to Delete  Select the jobs states of the jobs you want to delete.  One or more jobs states must be selected from the drop down menu; a blank selection of job states is not allowed.  When the pull down menu is selected, each job state appears.  Click the check box on the jobs states you want to delete.  As each job state is selected, it is listed in the prompt separated by a semi colon as in the example below:

3. Click OK to delete the jobs by with the selected job states.  Click the Cancel button to cancel.
