The ETC Hours Display (Estimate to Complete) shows the work assigned to resources, pools, or departments from the current schedule start date out a given number of months. When the ETC Hours Display appears, information is not displayed until the Search button is pressed. The display can be dependent of the selections made in Manufacturing Orders Job Grid if the Use Mfg Orders Job Grid Selections is checked, or selections can be made using the Job Selections button.
Job Selections are made to get a subset of work (projects) using the Job Identification and/or the Part Number. The entered job identification and/or part number to search for will be displayed above the grid after the Search button is pressed.
When the ETC Hours Display is selected, an empty grid appears as in the example below. The first month in the column is the month of the last scheduled start date. In the example below, the schedule was run with a schedule start in the month of August:
After Job Selections have been made or the Use Mfg Orders Job Grid Selections is checked, click on the Search button to perform the search. It may take several minutes for the SQL search to be performed and the mouse cursor is changed to let you know the SQL search is taking place. During the SQL search the system may appear to be not responding as DMS needs to wait for the search to be completed. Once the search has been completed, the information is displayed as in the example below:

If resource type(s) to exclude are selected, the selection is saved by DMS between ETC Hours Display sessions.
The second last column on the right displays the total hours ("Total Hrs") for the resource and, at the bottom, the total hours of all resources.
The last column on the right displays the resource totals past the number of months selected (i.e. if 12 months was selected, the last column would be >12 Months).
The total heads per month is calculated by:
Total Hrs Per Month / Total Man Hours Per Month
Where the Total Man Hours Per Month is the number of week days x 8 hours. The Total Man Hours Per Month does not include Saturdays or Sundays.
If the Search button is pressed without making any jobs selections or if the Use Mfg Orders Job Grid Selections was not selected, DMS will warn the users with the following message:
You may continue with the search by selecting Yes, or click No to abort the search. The above message will only appear once per session so subsequent searches without search criteria will not display this message.
