Status Reason

 

The status reason is an optional entry used when using Job Status Updating.  It can be used to flag an entry with a comment or reason as to what occurred.  For example, suppose an operation took much longer than originally planned.  The user then can select from a user defined list of Status reasons as to why the operation took longer. 

 

Status reasons for the delay may be:

1.Incorrect planning

2.Material delayed

3.Broken fixture

4.Machine breakdown

 

DMS then enables you to set up a report sorted by status reasons to see the reasons why operations are taking longer than planned.
