When DMS is installed, two Pool Selection Criteria commands are available; Job and Sequential. The user can define any number of Pool Selection Criteria commands using their own terminology. When a user defined Pool Selection Criteria is added, the command is assigned a Command Type of either Job or Sequential.
From the Monthly Calendar Menu on the Tables tab, select Pool Selection to access the Pool Selection Criteria window as in the example below:
The following tabs and commands are available:

1.New To add a new Pool Selection Criteria, select File | New.
2.Edit To edit an existing Pool Selection Criteria, highlight the Pool Selection Criteria in the tree and select File | Edit. Note that you cannot edit or delete the blank Pool Selection Criteria as it is used by the system.
3.Delete To delete an existing Pool Selection Criteria, highlight the Pool Selection Criteria in the tree and select File | Delete. DMS will confirm the delete. Click OK to delete the Pool Selection Criteria, or click Cancel to cancel the delete. Note that if a Pool Selection Criteria is used by an operation in DMS, the Pool Selection Criteria cannot be deleted. If you do not want to use a Pool Selection Criteria and it cannot be deleted, uncheck the Available check box and save the change. The Pool Selection Criteria will no longer appear in a list of departments.
For New and Edit commands the following prompts are entered:
1.Selection Criteria Name Enter a unique Pool Selection Criteria name. The name can be up to 40 characters long.
2.Selection Criteria Type Enter the criteria type of either Job or Sequential. Job means that an operation with a given Pool with the Pool Selection Criteria Command will be selected throughout the Job. Sequential means that an operation with a given Pool with the Pool Selection Criteria Command will be selected for sequential operations only.
3.Selection Criteria Notes Optionally enter notes about the Pool Selection Criteria.
4.Available The default is for Available to be checked. If you do not want a Pool Selection Criteria to be available for selecting, uncheck the Available setting.
5.Click the Save button to save the Pool Selection Criteria or Cancel to cancel the entry.
