Copy Report enables you to copy an existing report in order to create a new DMS Report.  To copy a report, from Mfg Orders Job Grid Perform the following tasks:

1. Select the category of the report you want to copy
2. Select the report you want to copy
3. Click on the Copy Report button 

The following window appears with the name of the report you want to copy (in this example, we are going to copy the Capacity report):

To complete the copy, enter the following information:

 

1. Report Category  Select the Report Category you want the copied report to appear in.
2. Report name  Enter the report name as you want it to appear in the drop down menu of reports.
3. Report filename  DMS will automatically create a report filename based on the name of the report you entered.
4. Report Type  DMS will automatically display the Report Type.  You cannot change the report type of a copied report. 
5. Default sort  Enter the default sort using the drop down menu.  The type of sort available depends on the DMS Report Type.
6. Edit Password  If you want to setup a password that is required in order to edit the report, enter a password.  Otherwise, leave this field blank.
7. Restrict access to  You can restrict which user groups are allowed to view/print this report by using the drop down menu and selecting the user groups who are allowed view/print access.  If anyone can access this report, do not select any user groups.
8. Report notes  You can optionally enter any notes about this report.
9. Click the Save button to save the report, or click the Cancel button to blank out all your entries and start copying the report again.  
10. If the Save button is selected, the DMS Report Designer appears and you can design the newly copied report as required.
