The Selections tab enables you to search for jobs so that you can work with a subset of jobs. When you first enter into Manufacturing Orders Job Grid both History and Template jobs are not included in the search. The reasons for this are to increase the speed of response (the more jobs the longer the process) and you are typically looking at current schedule jobs and jobs on order.
If you select a large number of jobs, such as all historical jobs, it may take several seconds for DMS to fetch the jobs and display the data. You may prefer to limit large sections of job data by specifying a date range or other search criteria that would reduce the data retrieval size.
A search automatically takes place when you first enter into Manufacturing Order Job Grid. After entering search criteria, a search does not take place until you click on the Search button. Once you have clicked on the Search button, the search takes place and the resulting data is displayed in the job grid.
To enter search criteria click on one of the following buttons:
To clear your current search criteria, click on the Clear Selections button. DMS will confirm the clearing of selections by displaying a confirmation window. Current job information in the gird does not change after you have cleared the search criteria until you click on the Search button to perform a new search.
You can save your current search criteria by clicking on the Save Search button.
You can load previously saved searches by clicking on the Load Search button.
You can set a default search to execute when you first enter into Mfg Orders Job Grid by clicking on the Set Default Search button.
To sort by more than one column in the Job Grid, select the Sort by Group button
To manually Keep or Remove jobs from the display, Select Rows is used.
